Nestled in the beautiful village of Thornhaugh, our holiday cottage is perfectly situated for exploring some of the finest countryside, historic landmarks and family attractions that Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, Rutland and Cambridgeshire have to offer.

Just a few minutes away is the magnificent Burghley House, one of England’s grandest Elizabethan stately homes. Wander through its spectacular gardens, explore the sculpture park, enjoy seasonal events, or simply relax with a coffee overlooking the parkland. Every September, Burghley hosts the world-famous Horse Trials, attracting visitors from across the globe.

The picturesque Georgian market town of Stamford is less than ten minutes away and is regularly voted one of the best places to live in the UK. Its charming streets are lined with independent boutiques, cosy cafés, traditional pubs and award-winning restaurants. Take time to stroll along the River Welland, browse the weekly market, or enjoy lunch in one of the many historic coaching inns.
